The Festival of Media Asia Pacific
finished last night with its famous awards ceremony at The Cappella
Hotel, Singapore. Amongst those celebrating were MediaCom APAC who
received a bronze, silver and gold.
Rewarding the best in media thinking,
Festival of Media is the only awards show that is dedicated to the
evolution of media and that celebrates the best in media thinking
and communications across the APAC region. As such, it is with
great pleasure that MediaCom received the following awards for the
following regional campaigns:
Experiential Campaign / Queensland Health 'Your Future Is Not
Engagement Campaign / Downy 'Scent Switcher'
Utility/Public Service Award / beyondblue 'Man Therapy'
Our MediaCom Brisbane Gold winner,
Queensland Health's 'Your Future Is Not Pretty' focused on
making-under local residents to highlight the future effects of
smoking on their physical appearance. In an age of selfies, this
ambient stunt hit hard with PR reaching 14.1 million people and
generating a media value of $325,000. To view the work, click here.
Mark Heap, CEO MediaCom APAC said,
"Each and every year we see the quality of the work entered into
Festival of Media rise. It was common knowledge that this was a
tough year with fantastic work being submitted from across the
region. I am over the moon that we have received recognition across
three of our offices within some of the hardest fought categories
and I am also very proud of the 12 other campaigns that were
shortlisted by FOMA. Not only did we show real variation in our
work and huge success in our results, but we had a display of
campaigns from across APAC which only highlight how MediaCom is
developing consistently across the region"
The awards were held in conjunction
with the Festival of Media Asia Pacific conference, which took
place from 22nd March to 24th March. Anita
Mookerjee, MD MediaCom Indonesia took to the stage with Facebook
Indonesia's Anand Tilak to present 'Understanding the Indonesian
Landscape'. Delivering insights on how best to engage with
Indonesia's unique consumers in the world's fourth biggest
population, they discussed how to successfully deliver an impactful
campaign in one of the youngest and fastest growing nations.
MediaCom APAC also took part in the
judging in both the shortlist and in the final rounds, with Gordon
Domlija, CSO MediaCom China representing the agency.
"I am very proud of MediaCom APAC's
wins, recognitions and contributions to this year's Festival of
Media Asia Pacific awards - congratulations and thanks to all who
have helped to make this another successful year" Mark Heap CEO
